The Republican Party of Florida condemns Michigan Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed’s admission that his radical Medicare-for-All scheme would require higher taxes on everyone who earns an income—not just the wealthy.
On national television, El-Sayed confirmed that Americans would “pay a little bit more in taxes” to fund government-run healthcare, regardless of income. This is not reform. It is a massive tax increase on hardworking families to expand an unaccountable government bureaucracy.
El-Sayed and the Democrat Party—now fully captured by the Democrat Socialist movement—seek to dismantle America’s private-sector healthcare system and replace it with a government program that has no real accountability to taxpayers or voters. This is an affront to the American system of free enterprise, individual responsibility, and limited government.
Floridians reject this socialist agenda. Higher taxes on every wage earner to fund another bloated federal program would crush families already struggling with the cost of living, drive jobs out of the private sector, and further erode economic freedom.
Will Florida’s Democrat candidates like Alex Vindman who is running for U.S. Senate, Angie Nixon, running for U.S. Senate, and David Jolly who is running for Governor stand with El-Sayed—or with Florida taxpayers?
